Artist’s rendition of the immortal jellyfish

The Turritopsis dohrnii has been called the immortal jellyfish. I think they are a good starting point for thinking about death. And life.

Instead of growing old and dying, the immortal jellyfish gets old for a little while, but then bails-out and returns to its earliest stage in of development. And that means starting the whole process of “life” over again.

Never has to die. Never has to think. Welcome to immortality.

The logo represents the wobbly connection between life & death & consciousness & mind.
